Congratulations Shaw Esser!
Shaw was the Kindergarten Fire poster contest winner for BAK. Shaw's poster is now going up against the St. Gabriel's Kindergarten winner and if he takes first place he will have a pizza delivered to his home in a fire truck!

Thanksgiving

Dear Families,

In celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday we will be talking about sharing and caring. We are asking every student to bring in a part of the snack.  We will be putting the snack together on Wednesday, November 21st.  Below are some examples of things you could send in. We will need only about 1-2 cups of the snack you bring in. You may send this in anytime.  Please be sure it is here by the 21st.

   Miniature marshmallows
   Chocolate chips
  Pretzels
Cheerios-any flavor (honey nut, chocolate, multigrain…..)
   Peanuts
Chex corn cereal (or generic brand)
   M&M’s

Thank You,
      Ms. O’Brien

Turkey Games for Math and Reading!
Here are a couple of games you can play with your child at home.

Place the word cards in a can and take turns pulling out words and reading them. If you can read the word you get to keep it, but if you can't read it you have to put the word back. If you pull a direction card follow the direction given and when the "Time to eat" card is drawn the game ends.

Give the next number game can be used in numerous ways; number recognition by playing memory, number sequencing (place 3-5 cards out and have them put the cards in order) or they can give you the number before or after the number they have picked.
I hope you enjoy and a big thank you to Karinda Wahls for letting me share these!
